This is an NCA-monitored surface car park, not a Museum-operated facility, but the rule is published on the Museum's own visitor page. No registration or validation is needed to get the weekend/public-holiday free rate - it is simply not charged on those days. Weekdays 8:30am-5pm the car park charges $4.40/hour or $18/day. Separately, mobility-permit spaces and motorbike parking are always free, but that is restricted to those vehicle/permit categories.
