How it becomes free or discounted

    What you have to do: Bring proof of East Cambridge residency; ticket must be validated at the Parking Office on Level G1 (9am-9pm) or at Security Base on Level G3 (after hours) before exit - the garage is fully automated with no cashier.

    Very narrow rule: valid ONLY during a declared City of Cambridge snow emergency and ONLY for East Cambridge residents with proof of residency. Enter via CambridgeSide Place, to the right of The Cheesecake Factory, into the lower garage. At all other times this garage is fully paid ($4 for 0-1h up to $8 for 2-3h weekday rates, $3/3h only with Cheesecake Factory validation).

Hours: Garage: Mon-Sat 6am-1am, Sun 9am-12am; free window only while a declared snow emergency is in effect, until 2 hours after it is lifted

Eligible: East Cambridge residents only, and only during a declared snow emergency

“During a declared snow emergency, free parking is valid for the CambridgeSide lower parking garage for East Cambridge residents. Please enter on CambridgeSide Place to the right of The Cheesecake Factory. Free resident parking is available from the time the declared snow emergency is in effect until 2 hours after it is lifted.”
